This checks you're drawings for errors and makes sure it's a solid or watertight. cleanup3 is also good for removing lines and faces that shouldn't be there. Then when I save it to print it only prints the last layer or 2 that it showed in cura. Hopefully that makes sense.

So it's possible that Cura will show something in the 3D view and not realize it was removed by the slicer.
